Step Up Project

Aim of the project:

The main aim is skills development for ladies in the shelter system. Depending on the severity of the case, some women are moved to shelters, for a period of three to six months. After this period, the women must leave the shelter and return to society. Many of these women do not have jobs or the skills to find employment and therefore end up going back into abusive homes or relationships.

The Step-Up project aims to provide and support the development of skills that will aid women in shelters to find employment, so that they can become self-sufficient.
